• 1788 Answers SOURCE: Usually there will be a bike shop sticker on it, if so, call them and they can tell you who owns the bike by the serial number. No sticker, check the phone book and find out what shops sell that brand. (At least, that is how we do it, we save every serial number for our customers and sometimes we know the bike was stolen before our customer because the police call us). If there is no sticker, call the police dept and ask if someone has reported one missing or look in the paper. Other than that, I don't know of any more ideas. Posted on Oct 01, 2010.
• 362 Answers SOURCE: well if it helps neither murray or huffy ever made free spirit this is a bike company thats been around for a dogs age making discount rate bikes the murray company folded about 15 years ago and huffy has been bought out so that their bikes can be built on a budget with a name once able to draw customers and sears has never really sold any bikes worth holding on to in my opinion and i ride an older bike made by intense cycles from california good luck and if it has plastic spoked wheels you shouldnt have a hard time selling it hope this helps:) Posted on Nov 18, 2010. Bikes do not have a central bin number database like cars. Each brand has its own system for each actual manufacturing plant that makes their bikes. Some plants make more than one brand, and some use the same frame for different brands. So frankly it's not that important what brand yours is. Hold Tight Blizzard Of 96 Rarlab on this page. Further, if the brand/model info has been removed the bike is either stolen or the victim of a cheap repaint job, and is not worth much.

The ONLY significant difference between brands and models is the frame. Everything else can be switched out. If you still want to know what brand it is, post multiple pics on a BMX forum and someone may be able to ID it from the style of frame and the components, assuming they have not been changed out.
